PKS UNITEN-KPT And PDRM Blue Warriors Bound, UniKL Ladies won big

Goals from Nurmaizatul Hanim Syafi Fuad and Raja Norsharina Raja Shabuddin ensured a draw for the defending champions, PKS Uniten-KPT who tied PDRM Blue Warriors in the first semi-final of the Vivian May Soars Cup at the Bukit Jalil National Hockey Stadium.

Both teams, PKS Uniten-KPT and PDRM Blue Warriors were tied 3-3 after 60 minutes of play and had to wait another four quarters of the game on Wednesday to secure tickets to the final.

PDRM first opened the scoring when Ellya Amanina Ellias completed a penalty corner in the 31st minute.

However, 10 minutes later, Nurmaizatul Hanim Syafi ensured a 1-1 tie as a result of a field goal.

Attack after attack by PDRM Blue Warriors finally paid off with two goals scored in three minutes through Nurfatin Dizana Mohd Zaidi in the 42nd minute and Wan Norfaiezah Md Saiuti in the 45th minute.

However, the joy of PDRM Blue Warriors did not last long when Nurmaizatul Hanim again found the target in the 46th minute before Norsharina Raja Shabuddin awarded the scoring goal for PKS Uniten-KPT to tie PDRM Blue Warriors, then dragged the match to be decided on Wednesday.

Uniten-KPT SME coach, Lailin Abu Hassan is satisfied with the spirit against his players and considers the resurgence in the fourth quarter tonight is a good turnover for the team.

 

UniKL Ladies 8 – 0 SABAH

In another semi-final, UniKL Ladies did not face the problem of beating Sabah with a big 8-0 victory in the first semi-final and almost certainly qualified for the final of the Vivian May Soars Cup 2021.

Nur Afiqah Shahzani Azhar’s hat -trick in the 18th, 41st and 56th minutes helped the success of UniKL Ladies who already have the title of TNB Malaysia Hockey League (Women) 2021 Champions.

 

Nuramirah Shakirah Zulkifli continued to widen the gap as the top scorer so far after scoring two goals as early as the second and 16th minutes.

Nuraini Abd Rashid (fifth minute), Khairunnisa Ayuni Sharudin (49th minute) and Tuan Nur Hidayah Tuan Is (51st minute) completed a big win to pave the way for the UniKL Ladies to appear in the first final of the Vivian May Soars 2021 Cup for their debut .

The victory also continues to maintain the unbeaten record of UniKL Ladies in this season’s competition, including five absolute victories in League action.
