WAPDA and National Bank make it to the final of the 1st Chief Minister’s Balochistan Gold Cup Hockey Tournament, Pakistan

Traditional rivals Pakistan WAPDA and National Bank have won the honour of playing in the final of the Chief Minister’s Balochistan Gold Cup Hockey Tournament. Pakistan Army lost to Pakistan Wapda while National Bank defeated Punjab Colors.

Under the Youth Hockey Development Vision, the semi-finals of the Chief Minister Balochistan Gold Cup Hockey Tournament organized by the Pakistan Hockey Federation in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs Balochistan and supervised by the Balochistan Hockey Association were decided. The first semi-final was played between Pakistan WAPDA and Pakistan Army which Pakistan WAPDA won 0-3 after an interesting and thrilling match.

Ali Aziz, Rana Waheed and Hammad Anjum scored for Pakistan WAPDA while Pakistan Army could not score a single goal. The match was supervised by umpires Abdul Manan and Sabteen Raza while Mazhar performed the duties of reserve umpire. The judges included M. Ahsan, M. Idrees, Munawar Hussain and Fahad Ali Kayani while Ali Abbas performed the duties of technical officer.

The second semi-final was played between Punjab Colors and National Bank which was won by National Bank 0-2. Punjab Colors team could not score a goal while wasting the opportunity to score a goal. Punjab team got six penalty corners but could not get any benefit from them. Naveed and Abu Bakar Mahmood scored for National Bank. The match was supervised by umpires Haroon Zashid and Wali Mohammad while Faisal Siam was the reserve umpire. The panel of judges consisted of Hamza Tufail, Mohammad Ali, Tariq Mahmood and Yasir Lodhi. The technical officer was Mohammad Yaqub.

The final will be played  between Pakistan WAPDA and National Bank while the third and fourth position match will be played between Pakistan Army and Punjab Colors.
