The ‘World Down Syndrome Day’ was celebrated in Brunei on the 19th of April 2019 by the BDHA, in association with Brunei Down Syndrome Association (ABLE) with a tournament held for special needs children in which they played with their families against the Tabuan (Men’s National Team) and the Brunei Stingers (Women’s National Team). The number of participants in this event was an astounding 200 people. The event was held in accordance to the strategy of promoting hockey across different groups, including special populations. A fun filled day, an open hockey concept has given everyone a chance to play and have fun on the pitch with families and friends.

The AHF is proud of this noble initiative and hopes to see similar events in the future. Keep strong!
